About this market
Bergen sits in the wettest corner of a hydro-dominated system, so its price is governed by reservoir levels rather than fuel costs. Like the rest of southern Norway it is exposed to the cables to Germany and Britain, and it averages €59.7/MWh — half as much again as Trondheim, a few hundred kilometres north.
