Electricity prices in Cyprus
Cyprus has no wholesale electricity spot market, so there is no day-ahead price to publish — not today, and not in our history.
Why there is no day-ahead price
A day-ahead price exists where generators and suppliers bid into a single daily auction. Without that auction there is no hourly wholesale reference to publish — electricity is still generated, bought and paid for, but through long-term contracts or a regulated tariff rather than an hourly market price.
About this market
Cyprus runs an isolated power system with no interconnection to the European grid and no wholesale spot market, so no day-ahead price exists.
