About this market
Lithuania trades on Nord Pool with Latvia and Estonia and the three price almost as one: Lithuania averages €89.3/MWh since 2024, Latvia €89.2. Domestic generation has been thin since the Ignalina nuclear plant closed, so the Baltic price is largely set by what arrives over the interconnectors — and goes below zero on about one day in nine when Nordic hydro and wind are running hard.
