About this market
Hungary is the most expensive market in central Europe on our numbers, averaging €111/MWh and ranking around 32nd of the 46 zones we track. The Paks nuclear plant covers a large share of what the country generates itself; most of the rest arrives across a border, and that dependence is what keeps the Hungarian price at the top of its region.
