About this market
Albania generates almost all of its electricity from hydro, which makes it the most weather-exposed market in the region: a dry year turns a net exporter into a heavy importer. Its day-ahead prices have only been published since April 2023, and they sit in the expensive third of Europe at €112/MWh.
